Sunday's plein air painting with the North Bay Plein Air Painters at China Camp state park. One of my favorite places to paint in Marin county. It was good seeing you guys and catching up for awhile, hope the weather is nice for the next paint out.

tiny 2010

I am in a group show called "tiny" at STUDIO Gallery in San Francisco. The show features small artworks under 7" x 7" and under $400. Below are a few of the pieces I have in the show.

Go Figure 2010

I have two figure drawings that were selected for the "Go Figure!" National Figurative Exhibit. It is a juried show and is on display at the Santa Cruz Art League from Oct 23 - Nov 21.

Paint The Forest 2010

I am one of the top 50 Honorees to be included in " Paint The Forest" a juried art competition. My painting "Young Sequoias" is from imagination but was inspired by a hike along a stream on Mount Tamalpais.

Vista Point, 280 & 92

Thursday's gouache painting in the moleskin watercolor sketchbook. The location is a vista point near the junction off highway 280 and 92.

Inspiration Point, Presidio

When I woke up this morning, I was excited to see that it was actually clear and sunny in the city. Got my painting gear and headed to the coast. But I get there and, of course, the fog is there to greet me and tell me to find some place else to paint. So I ended up plein air painting in the Presidio at Inspiration point near the Arguello St. gate. After the first one, I had some time to spare so I painted a smaller color sketch in about 35 minutes.
